Born in Oklahoma, raised in So Cal. Dj Cre-8 had a love of music before he even knew what love was. His father, a distinguished Mexican-American, Vietnam Veteran, expressed his musical knowledge from his travels through Cre-8 at a young age by playing everything from classical, country, folk, pop and everything in between in Cre-8’s wee years.
By Cre-8’s teenage years he knew from a high school near death stabbing incident that he needed something to take him away from the negativity of gang ridden Southern California, and music was the answer.
In 2001 Cre-8’s Battle Dj career started with the local Guitar Center battles, and other Southern Cali Dj Battles that he continuously ranked high in.
His club dj career came from a successful mix tape submission to a local nightclub in 1999, and his nightclub career skyrocketed from that point on. He toured all of Southern California from 2002 onward hitting top club venues in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Orange County, San Diego, receiving rave reviews from any crowd or club promoter he crossed paths with.
In 2004 Cre-8 got his shot at the unforgiving radio environment, mixing live on 99.1 KGGI which helped him hone his technical skills and make him the flawless mixer that he is today.
In 2010 he placed as finalist in one of the top ranking L.A. radio stations 102.7 KIIS FM Dj battles, and he continues now to frequent out of state nightclubs as well as his home state of California with the quality mixes and music his fans respect and deserve.
Currently Cre-8 works on top notch remixes and musical compilations, when asked what motivates him…”When I rock my heart out at a performance and a random party goer comes up and tells me that’s the best set they’ve ever heard & I’ve made their night, that’s what I do this for, that’s why I keep doing what I do, I make memories, I rock crowds and I do it with passion…
